NOLA's STORY
Hi and welcome to NOLA's! Judy Tettemer is the founder of NOLA's Cookies & Biscotti, a gourmet online bakery located in South Jersey. From the time Judy was a kid, if she wasn't playing baseball out back with her brothers, sisters and neighborhood kids, she was pestering her Mom to let her help her in the kitchen. She finally wore her down and helped make her first pie at age 10. It was Lemon Meringue and that was the beginning of Judy's love of baking and her love of lemon! Judy credits her mom's loving patience with an ambitious young baker for the sweet success of NOLA's!

The Connection to New Orleans
Judy baked for friends and family through the years and eventually started selling her baked goods. Thus, NOLA's Cookies & Biscotti was born. The name pays honor to her favorite place on earth - New Orleans, LA. Judy and her sister Gail have been going there for years and have made some very good friends, some are more like family (Juliet, Tim).

Emphasis on the Environment and Natural Ingredients
Affectionately known by friends as "Judy Go Green" because of her concern with the environment, Judy's effort to lessen NOLA's carbon footprint has been to compost, recycle, collect rain water and do their best to buy local and use organic ingredients. NOLA's adds more flavor and less sugar and never uses anything artificial in our baked goods and offers gluten free and paleo items upon request. To NOLA's, cookies are like rainbows - they're awesome, but disappear way too quickly!
​Giving Back to the Community
A portion of every sale of dog treats is donated to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage (a no kill shelter) and we make annual donations to Tunnel2Towers in support of our Military Troops and First Responders. Judy's Dad was in the Navy and was awarded the Purple Heart, her Uncle Joe was a decorated Army veteran. NOLA's thanks the U.S. Military, Police Officers, Firefighters and First Responders for their service.

If you're in the South Jersey area, you'll find us at the Haddon Heights Farmer's Market from May through the end of October. We're there every Sunday from 10:00-1:00. Feel free to stop by and say hi!
